There are challenges and opportunities with all charitable non-profit organizations, such as Collaborative Divorce Texas. Of course, we all know Collaborative Divorce Texas is certainly more than a charitable non-profit organization. The fact remains that we, like other charitable non-profit organizations, rely on assistance from our members, and the public. One of the ways we can support Collaborative Divorce Texas is to donate. We can donate our time, effort and our money. Collaborative Divorce Texas needs all three types of donations. You have in the past supported Collaborative Divorce Texas and we will need your help in the future.
There are committees within Collaborative Divorce Texas working quietly and sometimes loudly behind the scenes to raise awareness and support for Collaborative Divorce Texas. One such committee is the fund-raising committee. We thought we would take a minute and let you know what the fund-raising committee has been working on.
One of the past and current activities of the fund-raising committee has been to develop a banner advertising program that is available on the Collaborative Divorce Texas website. If you haven’t seen the advertisements, please take a moment and look at the variety of advertisers supporting Collaborative Divorce Texas. The word variety was used because, the advertisers represent some of the professionals that we see on our collaborative teams as well as some that support the teams or our practices.
Perhaps having a presence as an advertiser on the Collaborative Divorce Texas website is a possibility for you to differentiate yourself to the public and your peers. The possibility to raise your profile to the collaborative community has great potential for those that support the collaborative teams, such as lending specialists, real estate agents, home appraisers and business appraisers just to name a few.
If we look at our current and past advertisers, Collaborative Divorce Texas has benefited from the approximately $54,900 raised by the advertising revenue. We also have some new advertisers that are finalizing their ads as we speak.
We have tried to make the process as efficient and cost effective as possible for the advertisers. Advertisements are available to be listed on the Collaborative Divorce Texas website for 3-month, 6-month and 12-month options on a state wide or a regional presence. A Collaborative Divorce Texas Facebook ad is available on a monthly basis. If you need assistance developing the art work for an ad, the Crouch Group is always available. For any future questions about advertising on the Collaborative Divorce Texas website or Facebook please contact any board member, The Crouch Group, visit the website to get further details or contact me directly.
There has been a challenge to reach professionals outside of the collaborative community and to raise the awareness of collaborative divorce benefits to those professionals. Financial Advisors are one such group of professionals. Frankly, one of the challenges to meet with a large group of Financial Advisors is trying to explain the benefits of meeting. The Financial Advisors are under the impression there are no benefits for their clients to pursue a collaborative divorce or for themselves as Financial Advisors.
To reach the Financial Advisors, we have a program to introduce collaborative divorce to them along with one of many potential benefits of collaborative divorce. The presentation is titled “Asset Retention and Your Clients Divorce”. The presentation discusses what takes place during a divorce and how a collaborative divorce could help the Financial Advisor maintain a relationship with both clients after their divorce versus the probability of losing that client relationship during a litigated divorce.
We have completed one presentation in Houston recently and have a second one planned for the fall. If you would like to discuss the possibility of presenting the topic to Financial Advisors in your area, let us know.
Oh yeah, since we have an audience of Financial Advisors, we also get to mention that Collaborative Divorce Texas is a charitable non-profit and hopefully the next time these Financial Advisors are discussing charitable contributions with their clients, Collaborative Divorce Texas will be on their lips.
