CDT President’s Letter – November 2022

November 14, 2022 By Rhonda Cleaves

We say this every year – it’s hard to believe it’s November already! And yet, it’s here. We are all busy. Busy with clients who want to finish their cases before the end of the year. Busy with all things that come with the holiday season that we are almost knee-deep in. But the need to spread the word about the existence and benefits of Collaborative does not take a break during this time.

My question for you is this – can you spare 30 minutes of your time in the next month to help grow Collaborative in our communities?

Here’s how you can help. Pick a topic from the list below and write 300 to 500 words about that topic from your perspective and send it to CDT to publish on OUR website. And when I say OUR website, as a member of CDT, that means your CDT website. No matter our individual professions, we each offer a valuable viewpoint on every aspect of the Collaborative process to divorcing couples. We all need to be sharing this valuable insight. Yes, I’m asking you to write a short piece that starts with a “b,” ends with a “g,” and has “lo” in between. I’m not going to spell it out because for some reason, that word is daunting to many of us; it shouldn’t be. We can all talk about the benefits of this process in our sleep.

Each and every member of our CDT Board of Trustees is writing one of these 300-to-500-word pieces to publish on our website. But there are only 15 of us. With a membership of over 250, each of us writing one of these short pieces can have such a greater impact if we join forces and publish our 300-to-500-word pieces together. We will be able to push out more information to those looking. We will be able to push out a larger volume of Collaborative expertise. Our CDT website will continue to be one of the premier websites where divorcing couples go for Collaborative information – and then will contact you to get started on a better way to divorce.

Before you move on to the next article of this month’ s newsletter, you have already read 378 words. So please, join in the movement with your Trustees – write a 300 to 500 word piece and e-mail it to us to post on the CDT website with your byline. It’s just a simple 30 minutes of your time in the next month. (Click here and log in to our Marketing Tools page for a list of monthly themes to get you started.)

I appreciate you. Your Board appreciates you. May you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
