Meet New Treasurer David Brunson

August 13, 2020 By CD Texas Staff - s.t.

David Brunson

Name:  David T. Brunson

Birth: November 19th in Austin, Texas

Family: Married 38 years, 2 sons, 2 grandchildren

Firm Name: Lifeway Financial Corporation (Founder)

Member of Collaborative Divorce Texas since: 2004

I started practicing Collaboratively because: Linda Solomon and I met at the first local interdisciplinary training in January 2004 and decided to have lunch to discuss it.

What I like best about this job:  The awesome professionals I work with!

My hobbies are:  Following orders from the Boss and working.

My last meal would be: Perini Ranch, Buffalo Gap, TX – Dos Equis, Jalapeno bites, Bone-in Ribeye, Green Chili Hominy, Green Beans, Peach Cobbler

My favorite restaurant is: Restaurant at Gideon Ridge – Blowing Rock, NC

Something interesting you have done: Hold 2 U.S. Patents

I drive a: Honda Pilot
I wish I drove a Honda Pilot without autobraking and lane assist.

I am currently reading: Expected Returns by Antti Ilmanen

Favorite book:  Lonesome Dove

Favorite song: Great is thy Faithfulness

Favorite band/musician:  Doobie Brothers / Eric Clapton

4 Fantasy dinner guests – (living or dead):  My four grandparents

Favorite quote: “A vigorous purpose makes much out of little.  If you will, you can rise.  No power in society, no hardship in your condition, can depress you, keep you down in knowledge, power, virtue, influence, but by your own consent.  You are today and will be tomorrow by what you consent to be.”

The most important advice I could give a teenager is:  Life’s not fair.  No one owes you anything.  Most people aren’t for you or against you, they’re just thinking about themselves. No man is free who is not master of himself - Epititus
