I MADE A DIFFERENCE Campaign

April 16, 2018 By Honey Sheff, Ph.D. Leave a Comment

I Made A Difference CampaignMany of you may have heard that CDT launched a major fund-raising effort during spring conference designed to help you by helping us make collaborative divorce the preferred method of divorce in Texas. The “I MADE A DIFFERENCE” campaign, which asked our members to donate the monetary equivalent of one billable hour, was limited to the 2 days of the conference and had the lofty goal of raising $20,000. We are most happy to report that our membership TRULY stepped up and more than 50% of attendees participated raising a grand total to date of more than $26,000. Thank you to all of the members who so generously contributed and helped us surpass our goal!

For those of you of were not able to attend but who would like to contribute to this campaign, or for those who did attend but didn’t have a chance to donate, we are asking that you take advantage of this opportunity and donate one billable hour before the end of April when the campaign will close.

We know the pressure of balancing the demands of work with family responsibilities even before adding volunteering to the equation. Sometimes, there just isn’t enough of you to go around. This is an alternative way you can help change the way people divorce by spreading the word about collaborative divorce. Educating our members and the public about collaborative divorce is an expensive and time-consuming proposition. If each of us donate the monetary equivalent of one hour of our billable time (or any amount you feel comfortable giving), we can make a tremendous difference. Your donation directly helps our efforts to educate the public and empower our members to change the way our community divorces when divorce is inevitable.

Please consider participating in this inaugural campaign. Our data shows that our marketing efforts are working, and there is so much more that we want to do—but it takes money. You can help us help you!! Please click here  to go to the website to donate and to be part of this campaign! You can also go to our Facebook Page and check out why some of your colleagues donated by viewing their videos.

THANK YOU!
