We are currently moving along with our marketing campaigns which are showing early signs of success. This has been a group effort, with the emphasis on spreading the Collaborative Divorce message.
Financially, funds to make this happen primarily are a result of the dues from membership. Unless membership is running at over 300, most likely we are pulling from precious reserves. Currently, membership is averaging 275.
I often hear from professionals with an interest in the Collaborative process, and really want to help in this capacity. The response, many times, is “I’m not getting cases, so I’m not going to be a member.” It is not difficult to understand this thought process, and makes reasonable sense. However, there are many factors in play regarding case accessibility and being a part of this process. It can be very difficult to “break in” in an environment that is filled with many willing participants, but very few spots to fill. At times, it can feel like a “leap of faith.” CDT, as a catalyst for promoting this process, is not a guarantor of increased case volume. It takes a group concerted effort. Do you ask yourself, “What role am I playing in promoting the Collaborative message?”
The CDT Board is committed to searching for ways to make the pie bigger for everyone who wants to contribute. Do your dues help? Absolutely! And we will continue to seek out methods and additional means to promote our message.
Thank you for your support, not just financial, but also your dedicated engagement. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime with any concerns.
