The New Year is upon us. Let’s make 2023 a momentous year for our Collaborative Community. CDT remains committed to growing awareness and use of Collaborative Divorce and to foster more opportunities for you to open collaborative cases and bring dignity and optimism for the future to families throughout Texas. To accomplish this, CDT needs its members to make and keep a few “Collaborative New Year’s Resolutions.”
Resolve to encourage clients to use the Collaborative Process and educate them as to the benefits it provides.
Resolve to educate fellow professionals about Collaborative Divorce.
Resolve to encourage fellow professionals to become trained in Collaborative Law.
Resolve to write blogs and/or practice tips for the education of fellow CDT members.
Resolve to ensure your local bar associations create or promote a Collaborative Law Section.
Resolve to attend the Collaborative Law Spring Conference.
Resolve to participate in CDT Lunch and Learns and CDT Trainings.
Resolve to join and be active on a CDT committee.
Resolve to become accredited as a Collaborative Professional.
Resolve to educate anyone and everyone you can about Collaborative Divorce.
Resolve not just to “talk the talk” about Collaborative Divorce, but to “walk the walk.”
Resolve to work continuously and diligently on your collaborative skills and work with other members of your collaborative team to improve using constructive criticism in debriefs.
Resolve to reach out to your clients for comments about their experience in the process and solicit their suggestions on how we can make the process better.
Resolve to donate to “I Made a Difference Campaign.”
May your New Year be Prosperous.
