Summer Is Over, So Why Are The Dog Days Still Here?

September 15, 2021 By Charles Quaid

dog days of summer

Summer 2021 is winding down however, COVID Is not. While increase in the number of vaccinated has occurred, Delta has slowed our return to “normalcy”.  The light at the end of the tunnel just seems to keep drifting farther.  That reality weighs upon us, personally and professionally. It also weighs upon our clients. Nerves can be a little more on edge. Emotions run a little higher. Attention is more easily distracted and patience a little too thin.  Therefore, we as collaborative professionals need to be even more careful with our cases and our clients in the process. We need to be more patient, calm and diligent, because our clients may not be able to, even more now than in “normal” times. We need to remind our clients to be more understanding of their spouses who have been worn down not just by the circumstance of divorce, but the added impact of living in a COVID world. We need to be the grace.
