What’s Going On In the Collaborative Community

July 11, 2022 By Charles Quaid

July 2022

21st   5:30 -7:00pm CT   Collaborative Divorce Collin County presents  Premarital and Post-marital Agreements in the Collaborative Process Speakers: Amy Lambert, JD (Austin), Lindley Bain, JD (Austin), David Brunson, CFA, CFP, CDFA (Plano) and Syd Sharples, LCSW (Austin). (ZOOM)

Description:   The panel will review the requirements of these agreements and compare handling them via the traditional method versus in the Collaborative Process.  They will examine the neutrals’ roles in the process and the benefits to having a team as well as considerations when deciding whether to use a full or partial team or no team at all.  They will discuss how using the Collaborative process can reduce the possibility of the Agreement being thrown out. They will also consider how to use the collaborative process as a tool for creating a better foundation and understanding on which to build (or continue) the clients’ marriage.

This presentation has been accredited for 1 hour of Continuing Legal Education by the State Bar of Texas.

To attend, send an email to me at camille@ccscrogginslaw.com no later than noon on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.  Include the names and email addresses of the attendees for whom you are replying.  You will receive a link to join the meeting on Zoom after we receive all RSVPs.
